F/W 1997 Jean Paul Gaultier Stop Racism Top
Iconic Stop Racism long sleeve top from Jean Paul Gaultier.
Undoubtedly some of Gaultier's most coveted and well-known pieces, the "Stop Racism" garments where introduced in the brand's 1997 F/W menswear collection.
This collection drew inspiration from the skinhead aesthetic featuring military boots, slim jeans, bomber jackets and shaved heads but with a standout peaceful and anti-racist message.
Stretch cotton long sleeve shirt featuring the "Stop Racism" graphic screen-printed on front and the Gaultier Jean's tab on the back.
Very good condition, the fabric shows some fading, most notably on the underarms area, print is in excellent shape.
Wash label is unreadable, fits like a women's medium with elongated sleeves or a men's cropped small. Meant to be worn tightly. This top was originally released as part of the men's collection but was intended to be unisex.
Highly collectible JPG piece.
